Meeting March 2025

Another well attended meeting and it was nice to arrive in the (just!) light for a change. We had a very good number of items in Show and Tell as you can see from the photos below, as well as the usual handful of premmie quilts. Teresa did a demonstration of a folded patchwork technique which would make a very good cushion cover. She provided excellent comprehensive instructions - if anyone wasn't at the meeting and would like them, please get in touch with Teresa.

Here are some of the premmie quilts:

Here are the quilts and other items in Show and Tell which we all admired this month:

A finally completed UFO by Sue, which will be donated to Linus
A quilt by Sarah, using folded techniques. Made from old family shirts so a real memory quilt as well as a sustainable project.
This quilt was donated to the group as unfinished and Jan H has very skilfully completed it. She will donate it to Linus.
Cat's quilt made from a kit by Juberry, purchased at Malvern.
The lucky recipient of this quilt made by Heather is the son of a family friend.
The first of three quilts by Sarah T. The beautiful quilting was done on her longarm.
A beautiful large quilt by Jane, made from fabrics she bought in Adelaide.
A modern quilt made by Sheridan at a weekend retreat by Sheena Robens
A wall hanging made by Heather at a Jenny Raiment workshop.
More examples of folded techniques, this time made by Jan.
The first of 2 cushions by Jill M made from a Quilters' Guild Region 6 Zoom workshop
An appliqué owl by Jenny
Another appliqué owl, this time by Nicky.
